A faith-enriching retreat was organized by the EVA Pro-Life Movement for around 100 students at St. Alphonsa Church, Kalewadi, following the invitation of the parish priest, Fr. Shibu Pulickal. The retreat aimed to deepen the spiritual lives of the participants and guide them towards a Christ-centered way of living.

The day began on a prayerful note with the Way of the Cross and Eucharistic Adoration, reverently led by Sr. Jepsy. This powerful start helped the students enter into a spirit of reflection and openness to God’s presence. The retreat was thoughtfully structured with separate sessions for different age groups. For the sub-juniors, Sr. Ann Mary and Ashly conducted engaging sessions on God’s unconditional love, helping young minds understand their value and identity in Christ. The juniors were inspired by Lourdina and Vinita, who spoke about Eucharistic miracles, strengthening their faith in the real presence of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist.

For the seniors, Sr. Jepsy and Natasha led meaningful sessions on holiness and sainthood, encouraging them to strive for a life of virtue and commitment to God. The retreat also included vibrant praise and worship, interactive activities, and inspiring talks on the lives of St. Dominic Savio and St. Carlo Acutis, both exemplary role models for young people seeking to live a holy life in today’s world.

Ashin, along with the parishioners, provided valuable technical support, ensuring the smooth flow of the program.

The retreat concluded with the celebration of the Holy Mass by Fr. Paul and Fr. Francis Komban. It was a spiritually uplifting experience for all, leaving the participants renewed in faith and motivated to live a life rooted in Christ.
